2011 Senior Session / Mari & Tess

A double Senior session at Franklin Square with sisters Mari & Tess. And yes they are TWINS! But total opposites as you can see!

We had beautiful weather and shot at my favorite location! I took turns shooting with each young lady and kept their sessions separate (except for a couple of them together in a tree). I figured they've probably been sharing their entire lives and would appreciate not having to share the camera. Plus they both have unique personalities and styles.

Evan { 2011 Senior }

Had a great session with 2011 Senior Evan last week at his home in Jamesville. Evans' father Sean contacted me to schedule his sons session which I thought was so sweet. I am usually contacted by mom so I was impressed that dad was handling booking the photographer for his son. Go dad!

So I traveled out to Jamesville and met with Evan and Sean. What a couple of great guys! I felt immediately comfortable with them and felt like I had known them for years. They were very friendly and our session was very relaxed.

When I found out Evan played tennis I knew I wanted to incorporate a few tennis shots into our session. Check them out below.

And of course we had to use dads' new Harley too!

Some of my favorites...

The Family Portrait Photographer

I found this gem of a video on YouTube and just had to share it here on the BLOG. It gives a realistic look at the life of a portrait photographer. And yes, I've experienced a few of the things in this video myself.

So next time you hire a photographer to capture your family memories remember this video! Enjoy! I'm still rolling on the floor laughing!

Alyssa { 2011 Senior }

2011 Central Square Senior - Alyssa! Another beautiful young lady, great location and perfect weather. I must have been good or something, or just LUCKY maybe.

Franklin Square again! It's just the perfect location for any type of session. Oh yeah and doesn't she look just like Liv Tyler?

A few of my favorites:

Samantha { 2011 Senior } ....

2011 Cicero/North Syracuse Senior - Samantha! Isn't she just gorgeous? We had an amazing time walking around Franklin Square in Syracuse looking for fun locations to shoot at. And a beautiful, overcast sky providing nice soft light for our session. I just LOVE my seniors! I really do. Maybe it's because I'm still a kid at heart, lol.

A big thank you to Samantha for laying on those uncomfortable rocks (second to last image below)! I love that shot!

And thank you to my friend/former co-worker Brian for referring Samantha to me for her senior portraits!

Brenna { 2011 Senior }...

2011 Central Square Senior - Brenna. Such a beautiful and talented young lady. I really enjoyed photographing her at Franklin Square in Syracuse. It's such an amazing location with a little bit of everything from flowers to old rusty bridges!

Just a few of my favorites from our session. I'm so glad she brought her flute since it's such a big part of her life and personality.

Wishing you all the best Brenna. And I will see you in October at the Carrier Dome for the 2010 New York State Field Band Competition!

Felicia { 2011 Senior }...

2011 Senior Session with Mexico senior Felicia! This was a little different for me as Felicia choose the location for her session. She new exactly what she wanted! She wanted her Senior Portraits taken at her school, Mexico High School! I mean why not that's where she's spent the last four years of her life and where so many memories have been made already. It was perfect for her portraits. We were even given permission to shoot inside the school and the grand staircase was just beautiful.

Thank you Felicia for choosing me to capture your senior portraits. It was a lot of fun!

The Big Day....

No, it's not a wedding! It's the day my beautiful sixteen year old daughter, Brianna got her braces off. She waited patiently for two long years and the day finally came. I thought this was worth some blog love today. They grow up so fast!

And I promised Dr. Raineri I would send him some pictures too. He's always so good to us. This is the second daughter to have braces and we have one more to go! Thankfully, we should have a few more years before Emma is ready for hers.

And the final result... B E A U T I F U L

Looking in the mirror for the first time.....

And off they go....
